Google plans to expand advertising in AI Mode by changing sponsored links as users interact with its search chatbot and bringing AI Mode ads to international markets, Mashable reported, citing the company's financial disclosure.

AI Mode already displays contextual ads alongside generated responses. Google says the format currently earns less than traditional search advertising because fewer advertisers participate. The company also warned that advertisers will need time to understand the benefits of placing ads in AI Mode, limiting how quickly the expansion can improve revenue.
