Shopify is preparing to introduce Shop Pay in India by the first quarter of 2027 and is discussing payment service provider integrations with payment orchestration platforms, sources told Inc42. The accelerated checkout product lets customers reuse saved payment, shipping and contact information across participating stores.

Shopify's existing Indian merchant relationships would give the service a route into a market served by GoKwik, Shopflo, Razorpay and Shiprocket. Shopify has not publicly confirmed the timeline. India pricing remains unconfirmed, and competing services offer capabilities beyond faster checkout, including returns management and payment orchestration.
