Anthropic is in advanced discussions to acquire roughly $45 billion in computing power from Nscale, Yahoo Finance reported, citing Bloomberg. The prospective agreement concerns a second facility at Nscale's Monarch campus in West Virginia, slated to provide 460 megawatts of computing capacity using Nvidia Vera Rubin chips. Anthropic already has approximately $44.6 billion in infrastructure commitments with Nscale, according to regulatory filings associated with Nscale's upcoming public offering. The additional agreement could materialize in the coming days, but final terms remain unsettled. Both companies declined to comment on the talks.
