Researchers report that ActOR, a system combining room and robot cameras, improved humanoid task execution in simulated operating rooms. Feedback increased success from 46.7% to 83.3% under nominal execution and from 8.3% to 51.7% under injected disturbances.

The system builds a shared representation of objects and uses a language model to plan with pre-programmed movement and manipulation skills. In a physical mock operating room, the humanoid completed 14 of 20 single-object disposal trials. The findings appear in a preprint.
