The FCC said the equipment authorization for HoverAir's Versa camera-drone product was granted erroneously and that the device is a prohibited foreign-produced UAS critical component. HoverAir removed the Flight Kit from U.S. Indiegogo offerings three days after the campaign opened, while the device's FCC ID disappeared from the commission database, according to the report. The commission said it would send guidance to certification bodies to strengthen application due diligence.
