# ASML backs Tata Electronics' planned Dholera chip fab

ASML is preparing to support Tata Electronics as it develops a planned 300mm semiconductor fab in Dholera, Gujarat.

Tata has described roughly $11 billion of investment and capacity of up to 50,000 wafers a month, with technology support from Taiwan's Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation. ASML said its role covers lithography equipment, software, services, talent development, supply-chain resilience and research capability. The planned fab targets automotive, mobile, AI and other markets, using nodes from 28nm to 110nm.

Construction, installation, qualification and customer certification remain separate stages before commercial production.
