# Vercel updates Mistral Large 4 and lowers AI Gateway pricing

Vercel says Mistral Large 4 now runs updated weights on AI Gateway, with lower prices for input, cached input and output tokens. Existing users receive the updated model and pricing through the same model identifier, without changing their configuration.

Mistral says the update improves coding agents, defensive cybersecurity and token efficiency on coding tasks. It also reports improvements in spreadsheet work, web research and resistance to prompt injection. Vercel says AI Gateway passes through provider pricing without a markup or inference platform fee.
