Meta has suspended Muse's sharing feature while reviewing researchers' findings that shared conversations could be discovered by people who had never received their links. Security firm Claroc said it enumerated 6,800 links and found sensitive business and personal information after opening a few hundred.

Muse placed conversation titles and identifying strings in subdomains, which could appear in searchable historical DNS records after someone opened a link. Researchers found material including an internal revenue review, a loan application and a staff vacation calendar. Meta said it was considering changes to how links can be discovered; suspending sharing removes this particular exposure for now.
