Figma launches Japan data residency for enterprise file hosting
Image: Primary Figma introduced data residency in Japan, letting enterprise customers store Figma Design, FigJam, Figma Slides, and Figma Make file data in the country.
The company said the option responds to customer demand for domestic storage and targets organizations with stringent data management requirements, including public sector, healthcare, and financial services. Figma said two-thirds of Nikkei 225 companies used Figma as of June 30, 2026, and Japan is one of its top five markets by active users.
The launch extends Figma's existing data residency offering for enterprises in Australia, India, and the EU.
