Ring says it will begin gradually rolling out its TAKE encryption system in September and make it the default for all customers. The Amazon-owned camera company says footage keys will rotate every five minutes, while Ring's copies are deleted after 24 hours. Ring says that, under valid legal process, it will be able to provide non-video information and encrypted video files when TAKE is enabled, while preserving cloud features including video search and smart alerts.
