Eaton has agreed to acquire COL Group from Oaktree's Power Opportunities strategy for €810 million ($923 million), adding medium-voltage equipment and manufacturing capacity to its European power distribution business. The acquisition is aimed at demand from data center and utility customers, according to a report on Eaton's acquisitions.

The deal extends Eaton's recent purchases of power and cooling businesses serving increasingly dense data centers. Eaton expects the COL Group acquisition to close in 2027, so the additional European capacity is not yet part of its operations.
