Amazon said it will automatically upgrade compatible Fire TV devices in the United States to Alexa+ at no charge, including for customers without Prime. The service had cost $19.99 per month for non-Prime users and was initially available on new Fire TV devices announced last fall. Amazon said the update adds conversational search, smart-home controls and AI-powered recommendations to current-generation Fire TV Sticks, Fire TV Cube, Ember TVs and certain Hisense and Panasonic sets.
