# Amazon plans wider use of delivery glasses that capture thousands of images per shift

Amazon plans to put 20,000 more pairs of camera-equipped smart glasses into its delivery network by the end of 2027, The Verge reported, citing Bloomberg. The glasses could capture several thousand images during a typical driver shift and upload them to Amazon's Wellspring AI platform. Drivers in a pilot have already made more than 275,000 deliveries while wearing them.

Amazon says its systems blur people and license plates before images are reviewed by humans. A company executive said Amazon had not considered whether customers could opt out. Customers reportedly will not be able to view or request deletion of images showing them or their property.
