Anthropic says Claude can send Gmail messages through Workspace connector

Anthropic says its Claude connector for Google Workspace can now take actions in Gmail and Google Drive, including replying to email threads, sending messages and forwarding email. The connector previously focused on searching, retrieving and analyzing information from connected accounts. According to the report, users can set approval requirements so Claude either requests confirmation or completes an authorized action directly. The change expands the assistant's ability to act on information retrieved from Workspace rather than only prepare drafts.
