Flock police AI tool reported to search vehicle movement patterns

Flock police AI tool reported to search vehicle movement patterns Image: Primary
WIRED reported that Flock Safety is testing an AI product, OS Investigate, with a small group of law-enforcement partners. Code served from Flock login pages describes prompts that can search vehicle movements, identify possible associates from co-occurring plate scans, and combine results with police records and commercial identity data. Flock said the product remains in development and its capabilities and workflows may change before a broader release. WIRED and an independent researcher examined the code, but the reporting could not determine how the system behaves after requests reach Flock's servers.
