# YouTube plans custom video feeds built from viewer prompts

YouTube announced custom feeds that will let viewers describe the videos they want recommended and pin the resulting feed to a tab on their home page. The feature uses Google's Gemini model to interpret requests that can specify topics, exclusions and priorities.

Viewers will be able to create multiple feeds on the web and mobile app starting next month, the company said. The new tabs will sit alongside YouTube's main recommendation feed, giving viewers a way to direct a portion of their recommendations without replacing the existing home feed.
