Sweden's Government Offices blocked staff access to the web versions of ChatGPT and Claude on work computers on Monday, The Next Web reported. The organisation, which supports the prime minister and ministries, is directing staff to Microsoft's Copilot, which it says it has checked and made safer.

Its head of digital services warned that AI tools used without a contract can put government data at risk. Some staff can still access ChatGPT and Claude through Intric, which won a government deal in July. Intric says its assistant-building platform runs on servers in Sweden without foreign cloud firms.
