Locus Robotics was named the winner of the 2026 Cognitive Robotics Innovation Award in the ninth annual AI Breakthrough Awards program. The award recognizes the company's Locus Array, a fully autonomous Robots-to-Goods fulfillment system that combines AI-based perception, mobile robotics, robotic manipulation and autonomous execution to perform end-to-end fulfillment workflows directly within the warehouse aisle. Locus Robotics, based in Wilmington, Mass., and described in the release as the leader in Flexibility-First Warehouse Automation, made the announcement via Business Wire. The system was selected from more than 5,000 nominations across 20-plus countries and was named alongside companies including NVIDIA, Snowflake, Dell Technologies, AMD and Qualcomm. Rick Faulk, CEO of Locus Robotics, said the award underscores the growing role of Physical AI in helping fulfillment operations adapt, execute and scale in real time. Steve Johansson, Managing Director of AI Breakthrough, said Locus Array gives operators efficiency and confidence in execution within highly dynamic environments. The system is designed for environments defined by constant change and introduces a Robots-to-Goods capability that extends automation directly to inventory.
