Zealand Pharma announced the establishment of a new research hub in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The facility at 35 CambridgePark Drive will serve as the company's primary U.S. address and is expected to be operational from September 2026.

The hub expands the company's global research capabilities by combining more than 25 years of peptide and metabolic health expertise with the Boston area's biotech ecosystem. It will support AI-driven drug discovery, advanced automation and next-generation molecule creation, including hybrid modalities such as antibody-peptide conjugates and siRNAs in line with the Metabolic Frontier 2030 strategy.

Adam Steensberg, president and chief executive officer, said the Cambridge hub represents a tangible commitment that complements research in Denmark and advances the company's ambition to become a leader in obesity and metabolic health. Utpal Singh, chief scientific officer, said the site will allow metabolic expertise from Denmark and multi-modal platform capabilities from Cambridge to come together to deepen discovery and move from idea to clinic faster.

The site will include laboratories, office space, meeting rooms and collaborative areas. Zealand Pharma is actively recruiting for the location. The company is headquartered in Copenhagen with research operations in Søborg and Copenhagen.
