Nyne announced Friday that it raised 5.3 million dollars in seed funding. The round was led by Wischoff Ventures and South Park Commons. Several angel investors participated, including Gil Elbaz, co-founder of Applied Semantics and a pioneer of Google AdSense.

The company was founded by chief executive Michael Fanous, a UC Berkeley computer science graduate and former machine learning engineer at CareRev, and his father Emad Fanous, a veteran chief technology officer. Nyne aims to serve as an intelligence layer that helps AI agents understand humans by analyzing public digital footprints across platforms.

Fanous said Nyne deploys millions of agents across the internet to analyze public data from major social networks and apps such as SoundCloud and Strava. It then applies machine learning techniques to triangulate information about individuals. He noted that the approach addresses a gap left by companies like Google, which do not share their proprietary search and cross-platform data with external agents.

Nichole Wischoff, founder of Wischoff Ventures, said the market for this type of data is massive for any company using AI agents to reach customers. Fanous added that the data can reveal interests, hobbies, and specific thinking patterns to inform agent actions.
