Microchip Q3 2026 Earnings Signal Mix Shift to Networking and Data Center Image: Primary
Microchip Technology Inc. reported net sales of 1.186 billion dollars in its fiscal 2026 third quarter. The total rose 15.6 percent from the year earlier period on a non-GAAP gross profit of 717.4 million dollars at a 60.5 percent margin. Operating income reached 337.8 million dollars, or 28.5 percent of net sales. Growth in the other product segment, which covers field programmable gate arrays and data center solutions, climbed 18 percent sequentially. The company secured three major design wins for its sixth generation peripheral component interconnect express switch in hyperscaler and enterprise data center settings. One of the wins is projected to generate approximately 100 million dollars in revenue beginning in calendar year 2027. The earnings reflect a favorable product mix from high growth segments such as networking and data centers. This mix supports the company's long term target of 65 percent non-GAAP gross margin. Management said the results show execution of its nine point recovery plan during a broad based market recovery.
