# Anthropic adds separate opt-in for training on Claude voice conversations

Anthropic has started asking Claude users to let it use their audio recordings and voice chat data for model training, BleepingComputer reports. The prompt offers an Allow option and a Not now option, with a separate control in Claude's Privacy settings.

Voice consent operates independently of the existing training setting for chats and Claude Code sessions, so users can permit one category while excluding the other. The voice setting was disabled by default in the interface BleepingComputer examined. Anthropic says users can later turn it off or delete their voice data through settings.
