Anthropic says it updated Claude Tag, its Slack-based agent, to assess full channel conversations rather than individual messages before deciding whether to respond. The company says the change improved its decisions about when to intervene by roughly 30%. Claude can reply inline, begin work in a thread, route a message into an existing workstream, or remain silent. Anthropic says the agent uses channel context, memory, standing instructions and its existing permissions.
