Carta and NewView partner to help startups arrange employee share sales

Carta and NewView partner to help startups arrange employee share sales Image: Primary
Carta and NewView Capital have partnered to help startups organize tender offers, transactions that let employees and early investors sell some shares at a predetermined price to an approved investor. TechCrunch reported that the collaboration combines Carta's equity platform with NewView's experience structuring secondary share deals. A joint study by the companies found that tender offers increased threefold over the past three years among Series C and later-stage startups. Participation remains limited: their dataset recorded just 44 offerings in the first half of 2026.
