Valve sets summer launch window for Steam Machine PC and Steam Frame VR headset

Valve said its Steam Machine PC and Steam Frame VR headset will launch this summer. The company made the announcement in a developer blog post about Verified programs for the hardware. The programs will indicate which games run well on the devices out of the box, similar to the Steam Deck program. Valve had delayed the products from an early 2026 target after citing memory and storage supply issues earlier this year. It later said the devices would ship this year. The Steam Machine is described as roughly six times as powerful as the Steam Deck. The Steam Frame focuses on standalone VR play. No pricing details were released. Valve also refreshed the Steam store homepage with new layout options.
