Public-records requests reviewed by WIRED show that data from Flock Safety cameras operated by Alpharetta, Georgia police can be accessed by more than 2,000 police departments, colleges, airports and government agencies. Alpharetta receives Flock data from more than 1,300 entities; its recipient network has grown about 42% since June 2025. The system lets administrators share by radius, state or specified organizations, and Flock's Nationwide Lookup can query other customers with a license plate. Flock says sharing is off by default for new customers, while historical settings and auditing limitations leave some activation details unclear.
