Daishin has notified affected customers and is cooperating with authorities. Mirae Asset Global Investments and Bithumb disclosed separate incidents on Wednesday; neither has confirmed customer data theft. The latest attacks' root cause remains under investigation.

South Korea's financial regulator has called for stronger cybersecurity measures, and the country plans security checks on dozens of private-sector IT systems.
