Grok Bot can now use Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5 as a backend model, 9to5Mac reports. The change adds Anthropic's model to the consumer AI agent app, which previously used SpaceXAI/Cursor models for intelligence.

Grok Bot launched in August, and more affordable plans arrived in September. It is available for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Anthropic also became a SpaceX customer this year while seeking computing capacity to power Claude usage.
