# McDonald's launches dedicated drone delivery route in Shanghai

McDonald's and Meituan launched a dedicated drone-delivery corridor in Shanghai's West Bund, linking a McDonald's kitchen to waterfront pickup kiosks over a 1.93-mile route. Customers order through Meituan and collect food at the kiosks. Meituan says drones can carry up to 5.29 pounds and typical kitchen-to-kiosk orders take about 10 minutes. The companies previously ran experimental trials in Shenzhen.
