Meta announced it is rolling out consumer subscription plans globally for Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. The company is also beginning tests of new subscriptions for businesses, creators, and Meta AI users. Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus cost 3.99 dollars per month, while WhatsApp Plus costs 2.99 dollars per month.

Subscribers to the consumer plans gain access to features such as profile customization, super reactions, and story insights. Naomi Gleit, Meta's head of product, noted that more fun features will be added in the future. The new offerings will be branded as Meta One.

The Plus plans do not replace Meta Verified. Meta will test Meta One Plus at 7.99 dollars per month and Meta One Premium at 19.99 dollars per month for AI users. The Premium plan unlocks more capacity on higher compute queries and offers more video and image generation capabilities.

Meta One Essential costs 14.99 dollars per month and Meta One Advanced costs 49.99 dollars per month for creators and businesses. The AI plans will start testing next month in Singapore, Guatemala, and Bolivia. Tests for the creator and business plans begin later this week in markets including Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Thailand, and Bangladesh.
