DeepSeek documents web search and page retrieval APIs for agents

DeepSeek documents web search and page retrieval APIs for agents Image: Primary
DeepSeek documents Search and Fetch APIs that give agents and applications access to live web content using existing DeepSeek API keys. Search returns structured web results from the company's own search engine; Fetch retrieves a page as Markdown. The documentation says server-side calls through DeepSeek Harness, Claude Code or Codex are currently free, with per-request billing starting at 00:00 Beijing time on November 1, 2026. Billing applies only to successful requests that produce results or page content; failures, empty searches and timeouts are not billed. Search and Fetch have separate account-level request limits. Page retrieval also depends on each target site's availability and access policies.
