Google announced it is rolling out ATL Saathi to an initial cohort of 100 pilot schools across India, the company said. The tool leverages the Gemini 3.5 Flash model to provide underlying intelligence for Atal Tinkering Labs. According to the company, the model generates grade-appropriate, curriculum-aligned project ideas and provides educators with step-by-step assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and safety precautions. It also creates concise instructional materials, including AI infographics, video overviews, and interactive quizzes for core curriculum modules. Google said the AI-assisted tools and micro-learning formats aim to help teachers navigate complex training materials and adopt micro-learning content. The company said it hopes teachers will report significant reductions in administrative load, higher efficiency, and increased readiness to help students tinker and innovate. By shifting the burden of administrative overhead and curriculum translation onto AI, Google said it is freeing educators to mentor, inspire, and guide students.
