Flock seeks removal of map showing 335,701 camera locations
Image: Primary Flock has sought to take down a researcher's website that maps 335,701 of its cameras, Tom's Hardware reports. A company acting on Flock's behalf filed a trademark complaint over the site's use of the Flock Safety name.
Researcher Joshua Michael said a flaw in Flock's website gave him an access token without login credentials, which he used to query a third-party mapping service for device locations in November 2025. The flaw was apparently fixed in January. Flock says its cloud platform has never experienced a data breach; Michael disputes that characterization.
