Helsinki startup Ambio has raised a €5.1 million seed round led by b2venture, with participation from Montis and existing investor Lifeline Ventures, EU-Startups reports. The company plans to use the funding to expand internationally and cover more polymer types.

Ambio handles procurement from material discovery through long-term deliveries. It says it qualifies recycled plastics using samples, documentation and quality protocols, then uses transaction data on materials, suppliers, pricing and outcomes to improve matching and quoting.

The platform serves industrial buyers facing inconsistent recycled polymer quality. Predicting whether a material will work before sampling remains a goal described by CEO Tommi Bergström.
