Honeywell Aerospace announced on October 28 that it will expand its Tempe campus with a $500 million, 300,000 square foot facility for control systems manufacturing. The company expects the facility to open in late 2028 to serve current production and future demand.

The plant will incorporate modular robotics, automated inspection, AI-enabled production optimization and digital twins. Honeywell says the expansion will support its Assure actuation and Attune cooling products, which have more than $15 billion in customer wins, while allowing more complex machining to be performed internally to reduce supplier dependencies.
