# OpenAI sets ChatGPT ad expansion across Southeast Asia and Taiwan

OpenAI announced that businesses in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan could access ChatGPT Ads from Sept. 24. Eligible advertisers can buy placements through its Ads Solutions team, agency partners or a self-service manager.

The ads are intended to appear alongside conversations for users on ChatGPT's Free and Go plans. Plus, Pro and Enterprise subscriptions remain ad-free. OpenAI says advertisers cannot see private conversations and that ads do not influence ChatGPT's answers. The expansion gives marketers in seven additional markets access to the company's advertising platform.
