A preprint reports that Co-Scientist, a Gemini-based multi-agent system, was tested across materials science, biology and computer science workflows. The authors say it interfaced with a semi-automated chemical-vapor-deposition reactor, produced a material with similarities to a Ti3C2Tx MXene lattice, and enabled single-attempt growth of three monolayer semiconductors under laboratory constraints. The paper also reports biology and model-evaluation results. The reported MXene-like material's atomic structure still requires further experiments to confirm.
