Yvonne Bajela announced that Evertrue closed an oversubscribed $17 million first fund to invest in early-stage companies across the U.K. and Europe. The firm has already backed seven companies and will invest mainly in AI and fintech. Bajela plans to back at least 20 companies over the next three years, with an average check size of around £350,000. Five institutional investors backed the fund, including the British Business Bank and Basecamp. Bajela said she declined additional investors rather than increase the fund's size.
