# Micron reportedly ends production of 2 GB GDDR7 memory chips

Micron is reportedly ending production and sales of its 2 GB GDDR7 memory chips, which shipped in some GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards, Tom's Hardware reported. The 28 Gbps and 32 Gbps versions appear to be marked "End of Life" on Micron's site; Tom's Hardware found that their product pages returned no results.

The company is reportedly shifting toward higher-density 3 GB chips used in Nvidia's high-end RTX PRO Blackwell GPUs. Samsung and SK Hynix supply most 2 GB GDDR7 chips for retail RTX 50 cards, limiting the immediate risk of a shortage.
