# Ignis and Acciona form Segovia data-center venture with adjacent solar plant

Ignis and Acciona formalized a joint venture to develop a data-center project in Segovia, Spain, alongside an adjacent solar plant intended to meet the facility's electricity needs with renewable energy. Acciona acquired a 50% stake in Ignis Data Epta, while Ignis retains the other half; the parties also jointly acquired the adjacent solar plant. Grid-access and connection permits had previously been processed through Ignis subsidiaries. The transaction puts both companies formally into development of the complex.
