Gnosis Pay discloses customer data breach and adds payment checks

Gnosis Pay discloses customer data breach and adds payment checks Image: Primary
Gnosis Pay disclosed a breach of its consumer card infrastructure that exposed personal and payment-related customer information, Coingape reported. The company said it detected the incident on November 3, began containment within two hours, replaced affected security credentials and fixed the vulnerability. Customer funds and its enterprise platform were unaffected, it said. Gnosis Pay has made 3D Secure, an additional identity verification step, mandatory for online card payments. It notified affected customers but did not disclose their number. The safeguards will continue until its previously planned consumer card shutdown on December 20, 2026.
