Gateway Capital files for 81MW Sydney data-center project
Image: DCD Gateway Capital has filed a SEARS application with the New South Wales government for an 81MW data center in Sydney's St Leonards area. The proposed Frederick Street Data Centre would be a five-story, 16,635-square-meter facility with 11 data halls, an on-site substation and 44 generators. The report says as much as AU$1 billion could be invested in the project, which Gateway Capital and Lendlease would construct and operate. The development remains subject to the state planning process.
