Moonshot AI's Kimi K3 now available on Amazon Bedrock

Moonshot AI's Kimi K3 now available on Amazon Bedrock Image: Primary
AWS has made Kimi K3 from Moonshot AI available on Amazon Bedrock, describing it as the first open-weight model to reach 2.8 trillion parameters. The model combines native vision capabilities with a 1-million-token context window and reportedly delivers a 2.5x improvement in scaling efficiency over Kimi K2. It is also the first open-weight model on Bedrock to support explicit prompt caching, which can reduce latency and input costs when reusing context across calls. Customers can access Kimi K3 through US Geo and Global cross-Region inference profiles, with the global profile routing requests to any supported commercial AWS Region at approximately 10% lower cost than a geographic profile. The model is compatible with the OpenAI-compatible Responses and Chat Completions APIs as well as the Converse API.
