Snowflake says Gemini 4 Argon is now available in public preview through Cortex AI Functions, giving customers access to reasoning and visual analysis within its enterprise data platform. The integration lets teams apply the model to tasks such as extracting information and summarizing batches of unstructured records.

Snowflake says model calls remain within its security and governance perimeter. Availability at launch covers AI Functions; support for Snowflake CoWork, Snowflake CoCo and Cortex Agents is coming later across supported clouds through cross-region inference.
