# Anthropic responds to malware theft of Claude login sessions

Anthropic is warning affected Claude users that infostealer malware stole active login sessions from their computers, allowing attackers to access accounts and consume usage. The company says it is signing affected users out, removing saved payment methods, and refunding identified unauthorized charges. Anthropic identified several Windows infostealers and Atomic Stealer on a small number of Macs, while saying its investigation remains ongoing. It said revoking a session does not remove malware from an infected computer.
