Google Cloud has made Gemini for government services available in preview, offering agencies agents for tasks including public-records discovery, document redaction, bid evaluation and grant expense audits.

Google says connectors query existing agency systems without migrating data and retain their identity and permission controls. Task-specific instructions incorporate statutes, regulations and agency guidance, while outputs include citations for review. Partner agents require a person to approve each consequential step.

The service can use the Assured Workloads FedRAMP High Data Boundary to enforce U.S. data residency and personnel controls. Google is working with select agencies, including Missouri and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
