OpenAI engineers reduced security investigation time from 1-2 hours to 10-15 minutes using Codex's internal high-speed mode, Ultrafast, according to an October 26 company case study described by note.

Engineers launch Codex in an incident-response Slack channel and ask it to monitor problems, investigate and answer questions. The tool searches multiple potential problem areas simultaneously. Engineers also reported that faster responses reduced interruptions caused by switching tasks while waiting.

The case study concerns tools used inside OpenAI; it does not establish external availability through an API or ChatGPT.
