InOrbit released OpenRobOps, an Apache 2.0-licensed open-source foundation for operating mobile-robot fleets. The company says the software includes a reference implementation of ISO 21423, an upcoming interoperability specification for industrial mobile robots and fleet managers. OpenRobOps provides telemetry ingest, spatial tracking, configuration-as-code, incident remediation and edge-to-cloud deployment options. It also includes adapters for Open-RMF multi-fleet traffic systems. InOrbit said the release is intended to let equipment makers avoid building their own fleet-management back ends.
