Google introduced six augmented-analytics table-valued functions in BigQuery for automated analysis, including tools to detect metric changes, identify drivers and estimate causal effects. Google said the functions run where customers' data resides and return structured SQL output, allowing them to be used in Conversational Analytics and as skills for AI agents. The company said the functions can be chained for multi-step investigation workflows.
