Snowflake made Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5 available in public preview across CoCo, Cortex Agents, AI Functions, Cortex Inference and CoWork. Calls remain within Snowflake's security and governance perimeter, and developers can invoke the model through SQL, Snowflake's agent framework or the Anthropic software development kit using a Snowflake endpoint.

Snowflake says the model costs 40% less than Opus 5 on typical workloads, with cache reads priced at $0.20 per million tokens. The performance, accuracy and safety comparisons cited by Snowflake come from Anthropic or early users, and customers are advised to check outputs before acting on them.
